An update on my classes

If you have not already heard, I resigned from teaching at Clark College in Vancouver.  I have taught there since 2012.  Recent management and policy changes made me believe that my students could not effectively learn there.  In addition, they cut my pay drastically (along with  other instructors).  So I decided to quit Clark College.

I have been planning to start teaching on my own with curriculums I have used in the past, but a new venue.  My search for a venue has been frustrating.  Most venues I have found do not allow room rentals to for-profit enterprises.  The ones that do are exorbitantly expensive to the point that I would have to have either too many students and/or charge too much for tuition.

If you would like to explore venues for us, I would be grateful.  I would like to continue teaching in Vancouver. I am not interested in teaching in Portland. We will need a capacity of about 20 people, 2.5 hours per week for 10 weeks.  Wi-Fi availability is a must.  A projector would be nice to have.

To make the numbers work, we will need a rate of no more than $50/hour.

Thanks and stay tuned!
